Should you consider a Horizontal Reversing Mixer for your Concrete Plant?

Today’s producers have many choices when it comes to mixing concrete at a central mix plant. One option that is becoming more requested by ready mix producers is the Horizontal Reversing Mixer.

By watching the above video, you’ll learn about the top seven reasons why CON-E-CO’s Horizontal Reversing Mixer is perfect in today’s redi-mix market. After over 25 years of tried and true testing in the European market, Con-E-Co decided to produce the only HRM that is completely designed, engineered and manufactured in the United States. In a short period of time the Horizontal Reversing Mixer has become recognized as the most efficient, effective and safest mixer on the market.

The HRM’s impressive list of features include:

  • Non-tilting discharge
  • Rubber tire drive system
  • Specifically designed tires
  • Sealed inlet end and encapsulated discharge end
  • Variable speed drive
  • Advanced discharge blade design
  • Temperature controlled service panel
  • Isolated resistor bank
  • Individual drive motor disconnects
  • Single phase emergency drive
  • Precision jig and fixture manufactured blades and paddles
  • Bolt in blades and paddles
  • Open slots between the mixing / discharge paddles and drum
  • Bolt on removable inlet ring
  • 36” retractable inlet chute
  • Precision factory drive alignment
  • Simple field realignment
  • Hot dipped galvanized stairways, ladders, cages, roof railings and conveyor trusses
  • Factory check out

All CON-E-CO HRM’s are made with solid, three quarter-inch steel from end to end. The HRM is driven by four 50 horse high-efficiency motors, powered by a variable frequency drive on all four corners of the HRM. CON-E-CO has the widest traction patch in the industry and these tires are custom made 23-inch diameter, made of rubber not urethane. The drive tires are made of rubber, which is a much better driver of these barrels than urethane. As with any piece of equipment it’s important to have easy serviceability in the field. CON-E-CO thought of that when they designed this. CON-E-CO does the best job of minimizing the support structure and maintaining structural integrity.
