Mid-Atlantic Concrete Equipment Staff
Founder and President Jay Robinson has over 30 years of experience in the concrete business. Jay served as vice president and general manager of a medium-sized precast concrete manufacturing firm before starting his own company in 1985. Today every staff member of Mid Atlantic Concrete Equipment continues to follow Jay's mission: sell and service the best plants, parts, and equipment in the industry, with integrity.
Vice President Owen Blevins joined the firm in 2005 and is responsible for sales management, marketing, and business expansion. Owen enjoys the challenge of providing great service to customers large and small. He says, "We work to ensure that our vendors and products are tops in the industry. It's a great feeling knowing that your customer's needs are covered from soup to nuts."
Prior to Mid Atlantic, Stu Bentley worked for Block Plant Designs, Matrix Master, Inc. and Lafarge North America, where he received the President’s Award for an operational improvement method that became a best practice for LaFarge nationwide. Stu’s experience designing concrete plants and the buildings that enclose them makes him especially valuable in the northeast, where enclosed plants are increasingly the norm. His ability to integrate plant and building design is a tremendous asset to keeping a customer’s overall design and construction costs within or below budget.
Joe DeFrank is our regional sales manager for Pennsylvania, western New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, West Virginia and Virginia. Previously operations and product support manager for the Morgantown, Pa. branch of Oshkosh McNeilus, Joe is well versed in concrete plant technology, and has a loyal customer following.
Marc Robinson is our man on the ground when customers need service. Marc travels throughout Mid Atlantic's territory to install bin level indicators and camera systems, troubleshoot problems both electrical and mechanical, and make repairs. Marc began traveling to concrete plants with his father in the early 1990s and has nearly two decades of experience in service and parts.
Office Manager Marybeth Cramer succeeds at gluing everything together in a sometimes chaotic environment. Her varied background as an advertising coordinator, product engineering secretary, and financial coordinator prepared her for the challenges she faces on a daily basis. Marybeth is in charge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, human resources, and sales support.
Customer Relations Manager Becky Guhl is in charge of keeping our customer database up to date, ensuring that marketing materials reach the right people and sales efforts are supported with accurate data. Becky is good at managing the details that somehow got away from the rest of us. With her varied background in computer science and marketing, Becky is a welcome addition to our staff.
Special Projects Manager Phil Hess was hired in 2008 to streamline and support our CRM software. He has since begun maintaining and upgrading the website as well. While studying computer science at Messiah College, Phil has worked with mobile data collection for projects in Africa. Phil’s keen sense of the not-so-obvious has made him an indispensable part of the team.
